Who's Wayne?

Wayne works in affiliate and outbound marketing for cross-border products, which means two things: he adopts AI tools early and skeptically, and he has zero patience for tools that demo well but break on real workloads. This site is the public version of his internal shortlists — the same notes, the same tests, written up properly.

How every tool is tested

Job, not feature. Each tool gets a real task — a research brief, a video ad, a scrape job, a homework problem — the kind a paying user would face.
Same rubric. Output quality, time-to-result, pricing honesty, and how it behaves when the task goes slightly off-script.
Scored, not vibes. Ratings reflect the rubric. A 4.2 isn't a bad tool; it's a good tool with a specific audience.
Re-checked. Tool pages and deals get a weekly pass. Anything that dies or decays gets flagged or removed.

What we deliberately don't do

No paid rankings. An Editor's Choice badge is earned by test score, not by invoice.
No reworded press releases presented as reviews.
No fake countdown timers or invented "83% off" list prices.
